To reliably charge a vehicle, one Moonpool requires at least 150 Energy, equal to two Solar Panels. The rate of charging at a Moonpool is much faster than if one were to use a Power Cell Charger: this means that docking a Prawn Suit and swapping out its two Power Cells (which the player still has full access to) is superior to building a Power Cell Charger. Docked vehicles will be charged from the base's Energy, restoring an equivalent amount of Energy to the vehicle's Power Cells. It can, however, release vehicles without power. The Seabase that the Moonpool is attached to must have power (except in Creative Mode) in order to dock vehicles. These can be found in Wrecks or the Mushroom Forest. To unlock the Moonpool Blueprint, the player must scan two of its Fragments. They can also access a Prawn Suit's shoulder-mounted Power Cells, though they will have to jump into the water to access the Power Cell of a Seamoth. From here the player can access the vehicle's upgrade slots and any cargo storage, repair the vehicle, or re-enter the vehicle upon which it is automatically released back into the water. Upon entering the access area, robotic arms will reach down and grab the vehicle out of the water, securing it for charging while a short animation plays of Ryley getting out of the vehicle. The Moonpool can dock one vehicle at a time, and is used by approaching the underside of the structure. It must be placed below water to be useful. It functions as a dock and charging station for a Seamoth or Prawn Suit and is the only room where the Vehicle Upgrade Console can be placed. Two Purple Pinecones can be found southeast from the wreck, close to other local Flora and Coral, near the border with the Grassy Plateaus.Īn Alien Arch Cache can be found inside a small cave, in a trench located on the outskirts of the biome along the border with a Kelp Forest. The Moonpool is a Seabase module which is constructed with the Habitat Builder. Wreck 9 can also be found in the Northwestern Mushroom Forest. Bonesharks and even some Ampeels can come from the Underwater Islands and the Northern Blood Kelp Zone respectively. The player is advised to stay cautious while exploring this area, as Bonesharks tend to lurk in the denser parts of the biome as well as several Reaper Leviathans found along the Dunes border of the Northwestern Mushroom Forest. It is dominated by a single Giant Tree Mushroom, where most of the valuable resources can be found in abundance. This forest borders the Dunes, Northern Blood Kelp Zone, Underwater Islands, Grassy Plateaus and one of the Kelp Forests. The Northwestern Mushroom Forest is the larger of the two Mushroom Forests. Spoiler alert: The following section contains story related material.Īn Alien Vent Entrance Point is found in this Mushroom Forest. This forest is packed with resources, especially Lithium and Shale Outcrops. These caves also connect to one of the Bulb Zone Caves. The numbers can vary, from 2-5 eggs.Īn entrance to the largest Mushroom Forest Caves is located embedded into a cliff, facing the Bulb Zone, below the largest Tree Mushroom. Near the Crash Zone, a small clearing can be found that is home to a large amount of Boneshark Eggs. It is strongly advised to stay away from this small section of the biome as it is highly dangerous. In addition to this, there is always a Reaper Leviathan close to the border with the Mountains and a Kelp Forest, the area near a naturally formed bridge. A Reaper Leviathan that wanders away from the Crash Zone may travel into this biome. Most of the Fauna of the Bulb Zone, including its predators ( Mesmers, Ampeels and Bonesharks) will often wander into the Northeastern Mushroom Forest, making it equally if not more dangerous as the Northwestern one. It is densely packed with Tree Mushrooms and features occasional cliffs that lead down to the Bulb Zone. It is found next to, and nearly underneath the front of the Aurora. The Northeastern Mushroom Forest is the smaller of the two Mushroom Forests.
